Great Community Give Prizes
Thanks to generous sponsors, nonprofits can bring even more money to their organization during Great Community Give with the following prizes. Determination of all prize winners will be made solely by The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. Nonprofit organizations will be notified by The Community Foundation when the sponsorship pool has been distributed among the multiple prizes.
Any prize listed will not be counted towards the final total dollars raised online by any nonprofit that receives a prize. Every type of prize (Golden Ticket, Power Hour, Board Member, Leaderboard, Good Samaritan, Community Influencer) are limited to ONE per organization. Early Bird, Early Giving, Leg-Up prizes are awarded to nonprofits who did not receive a prize on the day of Great Community Give.
Small Nonprofits / Medium to Large Nonprofits Leaderboard Prizes (Most Dollars Raised and Greatest Number of Donors)
ALL donations received by organizations via an organization’s Great Community Give campaign beginning on April 5, 2023 and ending at 08:00 PM on April 19, 2023. Donations MUST be made via www.greatcommunitygive.org or given DIRECTLY to nonprofit organizations via cash or checks.
To determine the Leaderboard categories, we reviewed the financial information that was submitted for each organization and determined thresholds that divided the Leaderboards into two similar-sized buckets. The Small Nonprofits are organizations that have revenues below $500,000. The Medium to Large Nonprofits are organizations that have revenues equal to or above $500,000.
Golden Tickets
Throughout Great Community Give, Golden Tickets will be awarded on an alternating hourly basis to spur more giving. During specified times, a donor will be randomly selected during that hour and that donor’s gift to a nonprofit will be enhanced by $1,000. The $1,000 Golden Ticket will be paid to the nonprofit after Great Community Give is over. The Golden Ticket prize will not be counted towards the final total dollars raised by any nonprofit that receives the enhancement. ONLY online gifts made will count towards Golden Ticket prizes. Golden Tickets are limited to ONE per organization.
