  • Attend Click & Pledge training sessions and be dedicated to participation
  • Create fundraising page for your organization on Click & Pledge (technology platform)
  • Attend social media training session
  • Promote Great Community Give via social media outlets and existing communication vehicles
  • Set a fundraising goal and publicize that goal to your stakeholders
  • Be committed to learning new online communication technologies for your nonprofit
  • Send thank you notes to your Great Community Give donors – post event
  • Have fun!

The Community Foundation Responsibilities:

  • Be committed to the Great Community Give event
  • Seek sponsors for prize pool
  • Create a common message and brand for the Great Community Give
  • Provide a nonprofit toolkit with resources for each nonprofit
  • Provide training sessions to prepare nonprofits for Great Community Give
  • Provide support prior to and during the event
  • Raise awareness in the community and generate media buzz about the event
  • Work with local media and businesses to get the word out
  • Inform The Community Foundation donors on this opportunity
  • Highlight participating nonprofits and sponsors on Facebook and Twitter
  • Distribute golden ticket and power hour prize checks during event
  • Create and use www.greatcommunitygive.org to spread the word about the Great Community Give
  • Provide Great Community Give office hours
  • Have fun!
