Students from James Madison University assisted local nonprofits prepare for The Great Community Give on March 22. Senior Communications majors from JMU created a social media workshop to train nonprofits, as well as developed a communications training website, to serve as resources for the local nonprofit community. The workshop was coordinated by The Community Foundation, and led by JMU students, to address needs of local nonprofits to increase social media marketing skills. Participants ranged from those with beginner to intermediate skill level. We were thrilled to have these JMU students volunteer their time to help nonprofits prepare for The Great Community Give!

Since our humble beginnings back in 1908, we have always made it a priority to give back to our communities, so it made perfect sense for F&M Bank to support the Shenandoah Valley edition of the #GreatCommunityGive.
“Supporting the local community has always been our number one focus at Harrisonburg Radio Group. It’s part of why we do what we do…People, Passion, and Community. Sponsoring the Great Community Give is very special to all of us. It’s an amazing day of giving where truly every dollar makes a difference. These non-profit organizations are the backbone of our community, and they do so much to make Harrisonburg and Rockingham County a better place to live and work. We live here, we give here.” – Kim Mitchell
